[edit] Information

A riveting History Channel documentary exploring the connection between Nazi Germany and the Islamofascists in Saddam's Baath Party and in the Palestinian movement. Few people realize that the Baath party was actually formed upon the principles and organizational structure of the Nazi party. This documentary looks at the historical links between the Nazi Party and Saddam Hussein's rise to power in Iraq. During the Second World War Iraq, because of its oil and hatred of Jews, was an important battleground between Allied and Axis powers. Nazi propaganda was broadcast throughout Baghdad, and Iraqis often went on rampages against Jews throughout the war. Saddam Hussein's uncle, Khairallah Talfah, was a key Nazi propagandist and supporter. After the war, many of those Iraqis who had supported the Nazis evaded prosecution and ended up involved in the Baath Party regime. This special examines the key individuals of the Iraqi-Nazi connection, the little-known battle for Iraq in WWII, and the strange link to Saddam Hussein. Produced by Funhouse Graphics in association with Alba Communications Ltd. for History Channel Television Networks
