[edit] Information
During the dry season, the grasses in the savanna region in northwestern Tanzania wither, forcing animals to look elsewhere for food. But a green paradise exists in the middle of the region surrounded by a huge outer rim of a volcanic crater 20 kilometers in diameter. This is the Ngorongoro Crater. Inside this paradise there is a wetland area, watered by abundant springs even during the dry season. It seems a different world, where wild animal life abounds, including endangered animals such as black rhinoceroses, lions, and cheetahs. Why does this unique environment exist only here? Unlikely Eden explores the secrets of the Ngorongoro Crater, the home to such a wealth of wildlife.
